These are the guidelines Mo uses to bid on a gig, they are not written in stone. Some costs can be waived or offset. Contact Mo and find out!
1. What were our advertising costs?
Gas costs money, so does this website! Booking agents and promoters take a cut of their gigs. Those who seek us out and venues who hire us for multiple dates recieve discounts.
2. How many musicians are required?
Currently we seek $25 per hour per player and $15 for lighting and sound techs.
3. How far is it?
We will calculate our fuel costs and add 5% for wear and tear on the vehicles. If the distance is more than one hour one-way we charge $15 per hour per driver. If the drive is longer than 2 hours one-way we will charge for a motel room.
4. What do we need to bring?
We cover a small club gig with two vehicles, however a larger sound system, lights, techs to run them and additional musicians will affect 2 and 3 above.
5. Is this a wedding?
Weddings often have unexpected problems. Expect a 30% mark up all around.
6. Is the gig on a holiday (like New Years Eve)?
Musicians and techs have families too. motels charge up for holidays. Expect a 50% mark-up on musicians, techs and drivers. |
